UDK - It can`t be (un)real !

Sat Nov 7, 2009, 6:24 AM
I was not writing anything since long time but now I`m starting do my best to update my journal entrees regularly.

So the first entry is about UDK (Unreal Development Kit). Everyone of you probably was playing game such as "Unreal Tournament" "Gears of War" or many other games basically created with this graphic and game engine - Unreal Engine 3. Back in 2006 EPIC Games finally upgraded his old UE2 engine and begin a new age in computer gaming. Everything was perfect; shadows, reflection, HDR, high resolution textures, animations, actions (Who was played in one of UE3 game will understand what I am talking about :) ).

Probably you are wondering why I am writing about it. Because it FREE, FREE with big, capital letter "FFFFFF". You can download it on this site [link] and get a lot of fun with this development kit. Everything you need is your imagination. The tools you get are easy to understand and quiet intuitive. If you always dreamed about creating your own game now is the time to do it :)

There is also a small catch - "For privet use only" if you thinking about getting it for free. But hey, who wants run at first design studio? :P

This is excellent opportunity to start huge commission to create masterpiece of all games :) Maybe I exaggerated this masterpiece thing but I think it is great idea. On DA we have 3-D modelers, 3-D texture-makers, storywriters, musician, illustrators, concept artists. We all have the power of creation and imagination; we have all we need here on DA. I supposed together we can create very good looking and entertaining game ever.
